Happy 4th of July 2006!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend - I actually had a 5 day weekend as Jenelle was out of school yesterday. We went away for two days to the family cabin at Lake Arrowhead, and spent the 4th with our neighbors at our annual "block party".

Here is Jack posing in front of the Fire Truck that came to visit our firework display. According to our neighbors, they never get "caught" shooting off illegal fireworks - guess this year was the exception. The Fire Fighters were very nice and actually didn't ticket anyone. If they had been smart, they could have taken our un-used fireworks, but they didn't, so we finished the show after they left. Jack asked why the Fire Fighters were there to visit, and I explained that lighting fireworks was illegal. He then asked when we were going to jail!

Here I am with Jack at the Floral Park 4th of July parade. DH's aunt gave me the "firework" bobble head thingy -it was quite the hit all weekend! Jack liked the laser light ball.

And of course, Jenelle was adorable wearing fireworks on her head too!

Here is a view of trees damaged in the 2003 fire in Lake Arrowhead - hard to believe it was only 3 years ago!

And this is one of my favorites - Jenelle "sitting up" in the park at Lake Arrowhead Village with the marina behind her. Sitting pretty waiting for fireworks!
