Jack and Brett at the start of our Midway tour.
Jack sitting on a very large chain. They had a word for this chain thingy, but I forget.
Jack and Jenelle in front of a plane. Can you believe this aircraft carrier could hold up to 40 of these planes?
I thought this sign was funny, especially since they probably don't really blast jets off this ship anymore. The Midway was setting up for some special event that evening. That should explain the tables. Brett counted almost 100 tables on the flight deck, and there were at least 50 more below. That would be a party of 1,500 with each table holding 10!
Later that night, we drove past the Midway on our way from our hotel to PETCO Park. I thought traffic would be a bear, but if we hadn't seen them setting up, we would have had no idea there was an event going on that size!
In the evening after our tour, we went to a baseball game (of course) at PETCO Park. Jack was so excited.
We walked up to the ticket booth 15 minutes before the game and purchased 4 seats in the wheel chair section behind right field. Interesting angle to watch a game, and pretty great seats to boot.
Miss Jenelle wearing her free t-shirt (it was chilly and I didn't dress her for that!)
Jack enjoying the "kids park" behind the outfield at PETCO. Pretty fun wiffle ball game!
Ice Cream found at some off the wall place in downtown San Diego. Those waffle cones were awesome!
Jack and Jenelle in our hotel room. Jack was so excited to stay in a hotel, but then got angry with me for snapping a photo to memorialize it.
And just in case you think I didn't go on this mini-vacation... here I am with Jenelle riding a "tea cup" like ride at Legoland.
On the ride back to our hotel after Midway and PETCO Park, Jack yawned from the back seat and said, "Mom, Dad... this is one of the best days of my life!"
